How To Ship Hats and Caps - Hats Shipping Guide

Hats and caps are delicate items that should be shipped carefully. Hats may be shaped or formed a certain way and in order to protect the hat as much as possible, we recommend shipping in a cardboard box. Furthermore, hats may have curved visors or flat visors and to keep the visor shape, it is important to use a box. Using a bag, envelope, or mailer to ship hats is not recommended as the hats may be damaged, smashed, or lose their shape.

In order to keep the hats clean while shipping, a plastic bag may be used to enclose the hats. Any plastic bags should have a suffocation warning for babies and children for safety.

Beanies and knit caps, which mostly do not have a firm shape or structure may be shipped in a mailer or padded envelope.

For added protection, bubble wrap, packing peanuts, or newsprint paper may be added to the box in order to prevent further movement of the hats.

What box size do you recommend to ship hats?

For shipping 1-2 hats, we recommend using an 8" x 8" x 5" box or a 9" x 9" x 6" box. For shipping 3-7 hats, we recommend using a 12" x 9" x 6" box. For shipping 8-12 hats, we recommend using a 16" x 9" x 7" box or a 17" x 10" x 8" box. For shipping 13-20 hats, we recommend using a 22" x 9" x 7" box or 22" x 10" x 8" box. Actual box sizes may vary that retailers and stores carry, but box sizes close to these sizes should still work.

Be sure to purchase enough tape in order to properly seal all sides of the cardboard box and provide reinforcement.
