Notes: The Gildan 5000 (G500) is 100% cotton like the Gildan 2000 and is lighter weight despite it's name ("Heavy Cotton") t-shirt - 5.3 oz vs. 6 oz. for the Gildan 2000 (G200). The knit/fabric is COE or carded open end and is not as smooth of a printing surface as the Gildan 2000 (G200), which uses ringspun cotton. The Gildan 5000 is by far one of the lowest cost, best bang for your buck shirts and Gildan's best selling shirt and can be used in most cases when quality/fabric is not of the utmost concern.

Material: 50% Cotton/50% Polyester* (50% polyester/50% USA cotton). "Sport" and "heathered" colors are 65% polyester, 35% cotton.

Notes: The Gildan 8000 (G800) has DryBlend® fabric, which is moisture wicking and makes it more comfortable in hot conditions than the Gildan 2000 (G200). Also, since it is 50% polyester, it will not shrink as much compared to the Gildan 2000 (G200), which is 100% cotton and the Gildan 8000 (G800) is more durable and wrinkle-resistant than the Gildan 2000 (G200). The drawback is the 50% polyester material of the Gildan 8000 (G800) may not feel as comfortable as the 100% cotton material of the Gildan 2000 (G200).
