Text
1. The Richardson 112 is a mid profile cap, while the Richardson 115 is a lower profile cap. Profile refers to the slope of the cap’s crown. Low profile caps usually have crowns that are more angled, while mid profile or high profile caps have crowns that are more perpendicular to the visor. As you can see in the pictures below, the Richardson 115 front panels are slightly more angled leading to a lower crown height than the Richardson 112 and as a result, the Richardson 115 ‘sits’ lower on the head and has more of a close fit. When worn, the Richardson 115 is not as ‘tall’ on the head compared to the Richardson 112. Some may prefer the lower profile of the Richardson 115 as it offers a bit more of a refined fit and look. The Richardson 112 is still hands down though Richardson’s best selling hat and one of the world’s most popular trucker caps.
2. The Richardson 112 is made of 60% cotton, 40% poleyster, while the Richardson 115 is made of 47% cotton, 53% polyester.
3. The Richardson 115 comes in two sizes: MD-LG (6 7/8 - 7 5/8) and SM (6 1/2 - 7 1/4), while the Richardson 112 comes in four sizes: OSFM (7 - 7 3/4), XL (7 1/4 - 7 7/8), SM (6 1/2 - 7), and Y (6 3/8 - 6 5/8).
4. The Richardson 112 comes in more than 100 colors, while the Richardson 115 comes in 50+ colors.
5. Both the Richardson 112 and Richardson 115 have adjustable plastic snapback closures, precurved visors, mesh backs, cotton sweatbands, are 6 panel caps, and the fabric is made of cotton/polyester and nylon for the mesh.
