The Richardson 112 is the classic trucker cap and the Richardson 112PL is the R-Flex adjustable trucker cap. The Richardson 112 is Richardson's best selling hat of all time and the most popular. The primary difference between the 112 and 112PL is the 112 has a regular adjustable snapback closure, while the 112PL has an adjustable snapback closure, but also an elastic sweatband and poly stretch mesh (R-Flex), which allow for more fit and comfort.
The second difference is the Richardson 112PL sizing is 6 7/8 - 7 3/4, while the Richardson 112 sizing is 7 - 7 3/4. The Richardson 112PL offers slightly more room to accommodate various head sizes. The material for the 112 is 60% cotton and 40% polyester, while the 112PL is 40% cotton, 55% polyester, and 5% spandex. The Richardson 112PL is at a higher price point than the Richardson 112.
Both caps are mid-pro (mid profile) hats, have a precurved visor, and adjustable snapback closures. Lastly, the Richardson 112PL comes in around 10 sizes compared to the more than 70 colors for the 112. The Richardson 112PL is sometimes referred to as the Richardson 112+.
