Gildan 8000 vs. Gildan G800 (50/50 DryBlend® Shirt) - What is the Difference?
The Gildan 8000 and Gildan G800 are the same identical shirt. This shirt is often referenced as either the 8000 or G800, but there are no differences aside from the numbers. The Gildan 8000 is the DryBlend® 50/50 T-shirt. Gildan uses a 50% cotton, 50% polyester blend. The shirt weighs 5.5 oz., comes in more than 40 colors, and comes in sizes: S - 5XL. The DryBlend® fabric is moisture wicking, which allows for comfort and temperature control, especially for the outdoors and sports. The 50% polyester makes the shirt less prone to shrinkage compared to cotton and the polyester material makes it more stain-resistant. Often though, customers will prefer shirts with a higher fabric content such as the Gildan 2000 (Ultra Cotton®) or Gildan 5000 (Heavy Cotton™).
