Richardson works with factories and manufacturers overseas in these countries to produce the hats and then imports and ships the hats to the United States.
The primary reason is the cost of production is much cheaper overseas and in these countries. Labor costs can be in some cases 80-90% cheaper than the United States and this is a significant savings when producing millions of hats or items. Also raw materials to produce the hat such as fabric (cotton, acrylic, polyester, nylon) is cheaper overseas.
